    V6 Supercharger

I finally got the Thomas Knight supercharger in the mail today. I'll post pics later and i'll be using this thread to give feed back. So far I am not to happy with the quality of the materials used. for $3000 I expected the piping to be powered coated, but it looks like someone just spray painted them black scratches and all. This kit better perform better than it looks. at least the housing looks good..... pics to come.. now I am kinda of hesitant to install it.

Got it, sorry, the "turbo housing" threw me off. Sucks their finish isn't better than that. Then again, if Vortech can sell for $7,000, I guess these guys have to make up a few grand somewhere, right? Is it a complete kit? All hoses, nuts, bolts, gaskets, clamps, etc.?

yes its a complete kit.. what really sucks is the pics moparsupercenter have posted of this kit must have been of a pre-production kit because what I received looks different(the piping and injector placement).

its a "centrifugal supercharger" http://www.superchargersonline.com/content.asp?id=21... the ones more commonly seen on V8's are "roots style" superchargers.

roots usually have a good low end and moderate mid and upper gains.

centrifugals generally have moderate low and mids, with good upper end gains.

    both are highly effective.
Why sit around and watch everyone else live YOUR dream? Plus how many 330lb Samoans do you see doing standing dropkicks?

the install looks easy, but my problem is I expected more of a factory looking kit with a quality type finish, not something with piping that was spray painted black and not even painted correctly.

Nobody makes a Roots for the LX's yet, only centrifugals (GSM, ASM, ATI, Vortech). I was just confused because he originally called it a "turbo housing" before he edited.

If you send all the parts at once and you're OK with a standard color (usually just black), it can be really affordable to have stuff powdercoated. Agreed, you don't want to put it in if it looks shady.

Is it the possible damage it could do?
Or, afraid it won't work good because it doesn't look good?
