    V6 Manifold Porting

I did some searching but couldn't find any info. I've heard that porting factory manifolds can give similar power as JBA's. Anyone have experience doing this? I would like to try it and then do a dyno run.... thoughts?

I've heard that for the cost of porting it you might as well buy the headers.

I do admit the headers are pretty cheap. The biggest advantage to factory manifolds are they fit like a glove. Can anyone chime in on the quality of the JBA's?

I got JBA's and here are the inside of each. I have the factory headers if anyone wants a set to bore out and play around with.

Still doesn't answer the question about porting. Has anyone done that that anyone knows of with the HEMI's?

Scott w/Hammer automotive told me that the factory manifolds could be bored/grinded out to produce same/if not more air flow.
Scott has NOT personally done this, but I respect his opinion greatly.

I would hope a flash, jba's, cai, and exhaust would give more than 5 hp. If not why bother....... the only way to prove these mods out is a dyno.

No, he means that with all the other mods that he has already besides the Headers, a 5hp gain that may be produced by the headers wouldn't be very noticeable.

Didn't someone dyno the car before and after the headers?

Nice. I wonder if they would fit on a 300M?
