I've found that used SXT's go for about the same as used SE's at many dealers. Go for the SXT, it has more standard features: Larger engine, fog lights, 5 speed transmission, ESP program to name a few. Even if it is 1000 more than an SE, it's worth it.
...by the way, I paid about $16,800 for my 06 SXT with about 17k on it last November.
Cool, i'm turning 18 soon, and i'm looking to get a new car....and i really want an lx...my dad has a magnum rt...and i got the bug worse then he did....and i own a ford taurus.

If your happy with the performance, I'd say that's a nice car for the money. There are SE's here that are freaking beautiful, plus Magnesium is a cool color. Some nice wheels, painted calipers, well, you know. BABE MAGNET!!![]()

I paid 16000 last April for my SE, 23,000 miles. If I had to do it all over again I would have opted for at least the SXT. I even considered trading my car in a couple of months ago for a RT. With the amount of money, blood, sweat and tears I have put into my SE I decided against it.
BONE STOCK
You can run a CarFax on it to be sure, but I say that is an ex-rental car. SE's don't have a power front seat. Fleet vehicles do. It will also have ESP.
It is the same Magnum I have. Some people don't trust rental's, but it didn't bother me. I paid $15,000 last year w/ 23,000. Then bought a 7/70 $100 deductable warranty from Dodge for $1200. I'm good till 2012!
Cheap to mod too. R/T grille for $35 (ebay), R/T rims $300 (ebay), fog lights $110 (ebay).

2005 Magnesium Magnum SE ; R/T rims, R/T grille, and fog lights.
Does it have to be a magnum? My '07charger se came with power front seat, a 3.5HO, and all for only $21,000 brand new. I can imagine how cheap it would be used!
3.5L SE :
17"SGT aluminum alloy wheels, spectre cai, esp delete, custom dual borla catback exhaust, tint (35% up front and as dark as they get in back!)
23,000 for my SE 1 1/2 year ago though!!
So damn custom, I don't even need a sig!
Yep i also paid out mu a s s for my SE because i had to be the 1st kid on the block with one haha but I still love it
VIVERE IN SIEME O MORIRE SOLO
T.Caruso
I paid $20,000 for my SE, in december '05 w/ 8,970 miles, if I would've known back then I would've bought the SXT without a doubt.
"Im Lovin'It"
in jan 07 I purchased an 05 se with 29k for 11,900 cool vanilla no power seats, but does have esp. If it was a rental I don't care. It's a great car so far. My only mod so far is a set of 300c limited chrome wheels
