What size pipes are you using for your exhaust? Did you go with the 2.5, or bigger?

    Thanks.
I am running 2.25 from the cats back with an X-pipe series 50 mufflers and 2 coffee can can mufflers at the rear.

I have included 2 pictures for you, the first is with the wheels when they came the original gun metal color and the second after i have painted them black.

With silver paint and black accents i have been doing, the black rims made the color scheme come together, is still have stripping to do but that will be something i will do in the summer.

The gun metal looks nice but even when they were clean they still looked a little dirty, in the first picture the rims and car is clean but just never looked cleaned. A lot of people liked the gun metal but i decided to go with what i liked so i painted them black and glad i did. In the second picture the car and rims are a little dirty since it was raining all week but i thought i would take a picture of the car for you, rain is still in the forecast for the next week or two, can't wait for summer.

That's a real nice job you did there. Look great!

I have an '06 3.5 with the 5-speed auto trans, I assume that it has the 2.87 gears?

If I'm cruisin' at 65, the RPM's are right at 2000.

    '06 Magnum SXT 3.5L
    Blastin' Bobs 10 dB exhaust
    more to come...

Yes i have the same gears, the 08 3.5 gets the 3.64 but they also get the 4 speed auto as their trans

Here is something i wrote for one of the other threads, mentions how i feel about doing the install, hope the info is helpful

The thread for that reply is here

    V-6 Supercharger Now Available

Here are some of the highlights in my opinion of having one since i have installed it.

I no longer feel left out of the crowd when i am with the HEMI crowd at the car club events or shows. I feel that now my car is expected to be there since it is the only one in the club or this side of the states with the supercharger. Before i would not put it in the shows and i would just park it on the side line with the hood closed, now i am looking forward to the Mopar show events. Just that alone is a great feeling for having one installed.

I no longer have the urge to trade my car in for a HEMI, it is nice to no longer feel that feeling all time i drive the car, in a way i now have piece of mind regarding that issue, and that is another plus for having one.

And of course the real reason for installing the supercharger is the power. The car continues to amaze me. I go into the mountains just to enjoy the extra torque and power. I don't speed, but before the supercharger when going up steep hills i would have to downshift and give a lot more pedal to retain the speed i was going. Now i just give it a little more pedal, the car does not downshift and now it continues to accelerate, most of the time when this occurs i have to give it less pedal because the car keeps accelerating.

When taking off from a start and giving it medium pedal the car really picks up fast, and full throttle is amazing.

I have purchased just about all the mods available for our cars ( Weapon-R CAI, Jett II, B&G flash, Headers, Dual exhaust and so on), the supercharger is the most expensive mod but it is also the best bang for the buck and the most satisfying power adder i could of installed.

This mod would of been great just by itself and if it was available first i might not have spent my money on the other mods especially the CAI, chip and flash. That along would of saved me over $1000.00 and made the supercharger an even better buy.

Now i can't wait for dry weather since it has been raining almost every day since i installed the supercharger and hit the dyno with the programmer coming out soon and see what it really can do. After that i will go to the track and see what a V-6 can really do

Thanks for the pics. I like the color of the wheels. A buddy of mine sold me a set of SXT wheels for $150 and I've been contemplating painting them black for now, but haven't made a decision quite yet. The wheels I'd like to get are the black police wheels that you see on the Police Chargers. I'm thinking that they're probably pretty light versus what we have now, and they look good.

BTW, not to hijack the thread, but does anyone know where to get a set of the police wheels?

Your $10,000 upside down on your car with another 5 years of $500 payments (=$30000) and you are spending $3000 on a supercharger and whatever else on your other mods? I don't understand how someone who is upside down on a car loan will spend more money on mods rather than paying down the principal and owning the car (or at least be ahead) before doing them. It really sounds like you got hammered on your purchase of this car- 84 month x 500= $42000 total of payments. Plus the cost of your mods you will never get back.

With that aside, sounds like a cool setup that will net you some great gains.

I spent many times contemplating what to do, and whether to put money towards the loan or do something else. I figured the money would not make an immediate dent in the amount i owed, yes it would cut the loan shorter by 5 months but i would still have to live with the car in its present condition for the other 4.5 years. I was also thinking as a last resort that i would continue paying for the car for 2 more years and still living with the car in its present condition for the 2 years and hope fully break even on a trade in at the end of 2 years. At this moment i have 58,000 miles on my 2006 and by then i may have 95,000 miles on the car and that would effect trade in value as well.

Then if i did trade it in after 2 years i would now have another 7 year loan for another car. This meant i would still loose the $10,000.00 plus i paid over the 2 years anyway and then add 7 more years for the other loan and the amount of that loan. This means i would end up having loans for another 9 years. By keeping the car and adding the expense of the turbo and future mods i will be out of debt in 5 years and the other 4 years i could put that money in the bank if i want.

And now i have a car that i now appreciate and enjoy keeping for the next 5 years or more, i am also looking forward to being out of debt in 5 years and not having any more car payments for a many years after.

Any way that is some of the may thoughts that went through my mind before committing to the purchase.

Regarding the price, the car is a pretty loaded SXT that retailed for $29,000, add on 6% loan finance charge, tax, license, extended warranty, gap insurance, and 45,000 mile covered maintenance plan and a few dollars to get me out of my other car adds up to the amount i spent on the car, a lot i know, but the car is a better family car than the one i traded in and fit the budget at the time.

Sorry if my message seemed harsh-you can't portray emotion through type! I was in your spot with a Ram that I owned-upside down and contemplating a trade. Instead I took my $2000 tax return (years ago) and called around to some credit unions. I ended up refinancing the truck with a lesser term (cut one year off my loan) and was able to cut my payments by $70/month-i kept paying the extra $70 anyways and the truck ended up being paid for in about 2 years sooner than I originally expected. You may want to consider refinancing-even if you don't put anything down, you will probably still get a better rate.

I did not take your message as harsh, you are correct it is difficult to portray emotion through type, i was hoping my response did not come of harsh as well.

I just wanted to put in enough information that explained several angles of what i wanted to convey, i may of put to much info but also thought i might not have put enough if i did not put as much as i did.

When upside down in a loan it is always difficult to decide which way to go, for now i am excited about paying of the loan and being out of debt in 5 years.

I know that this is a rarity, but when i purchased my Charger, the dealership gave me what I owed on my truck ($27,000) and they didn't add it on to my car.... thankfully. I think they knew that they would be able to sell my truck pretty quick, in which they did... three weeks later. It was an 05 Dakota Laramie fully loaded, not to mention the addons that were on it.

It can be done, but not many dealerships are willing to work with you like that, this is why I've gone back to them for my last three vehicles that I've bought from them.
