why exactly does everyone here call JET MODULES, "chips"? theres a distinct difference between the two products.
reason i ask, is coming from GM cars, chips were more "back in the day".... since 1996, when OBD II setups came about, computers are not really "chipped" anymore.... they are reflashed.
here, check this out:
those are actual chips listed for GM on JET's site: http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?pid=23393
they are actual "chips" as what you would see when you open up a computer and check the internals. they are replaced like CPU's are in a computer, as a plug in part, where you open up the ECU.
JET's MODULES, on the other hand are as they list em.... "modules"
even says it on the product. the page for dodge: http://www.jetchip.com/products.asp?pid=21696
i dunno, just a question i figured i'd ask, since i dont know the answer. theres a few things i've asked about here where i was talking the same product, but theres been like a different name for a few things. kinda like in the little mermaid, where Ariel is combing her hair with a FORK, but she calls it a "DingleHopper"...
please dont anyone take offense to this, its just a small question. its just kinda confusing reading and learning about some things and they arent called what they actually are... trying to adjust.
