Mopar duals on 3.5 install on rainy day in so cal

After reading the thread NC-SXT did on installing duals on his SXT it motivated me to do the same. Boy does it ever sound, look and not suprisingly run better. The main difference is I went to my local muffler shop and had them install it for me. I figured the money I spent was less than a trip to urgent care, a few stitches and prescription I would have needed if I tried to do it myself with jackstands on my back. When I asked Ceasar the owner of Moto Muffler if they had ever done an install on a LX he said they just installed one on a 300 yesterday. Here are a few pics I took while the install was being done, took about 45 min start to finish. This is a great mod for any of you on the fence about doing this. Lowering springs go on Monday.

This is Ron I take it?

I've had the zoomers installed since the summer time. When I first put them on they had a distinctive sound not unlike an Italian Race car. This wasn't the sound I was looking for but I knew beforehand that it would sound like this at first.
Now that I've had it on my daily driver since summer it has a nice low growling sound with a throaty accent. The best sounding v6 exhaust I've heard around here I might proudly add

I have a K&N drop-in filter installed right now. I'm thinking that its not doing the duel zoomers justice.

So I'm looking at getting a CAI and a Jet Chip Stage II to get more air into the motor. I know the zoomers are more than capable of moving the exhaust gasses out.
I am also exploring the idea of putting in a 180 or 190 degree thermostat to keep the engine temp lower.

Overall I am very happy with the Zoomers and I'm extremely glad I purchased them.

Remember guys you get what you pay for. You order the mopar duels and you will get a 2 into 1 setup that will bottleneck the exhaust gases. The zoomers kit comes with an x-pipe that installs right behind the duel CC and creates a duel system right back to the resonated tips. Total free flow.
