    JBA Headers installed

OMG my hands are mush after an all day even of this install.
Pics will be posted tonight. The sounds it about the same after the install. I do have the 40 series flowmaster so its loud already.
The under the hood seems hotter with the headers insralled. I did put the heat shield on the drivers side [ due to the starter RIGHT by the header ].
Well it looks like ive done ALL the mods that can be done to the 3.5
    -exhaust
    -Hammer H.O
    -B&G flash
    -JBA Headers

I will have the car dyno'd next Thursday.

NICE! I'm siked to see what kinda numbers you pull. Give us an idea of what these engines can (or can't, I guess) do!

What does butt dyno say? Night and day from stock?

    A couple of questions...

    1) Are your headers coated ? I'm a bit anxious about the added heat as like to drive my cars "into the ground" as they say

    2) Did you manage to reinstall the original driver's side heat shield, or did you have to come up with one of your own ? Any suggestions ?

And also... about the mush hands lol did you manage OK or was it a painful and frustrating experience ??

    thx !

And several extrentions, a good elbow socket, and a GOOD angeled open and boxed in metric wrencked ,mostly 10,14,14mm

And also... about the mush hands lol did you manage OK or was it a painful and frustrating experience ?? painfull yes, make sure you DONT run the car before the intall [ HOT AS A MO FO ] id suggest wearing a pair lf latex gloved of some sort.

as anyone who has these jba headers installed on their car knows, a rev-up at idle in park does not paint the best picture or sound of these headers. You need to hear them as you are going into the powerband in each gear to hear the amazing header sound (not to mention the added torque). The computer limits the amount of reving you can do when the car is in park.

They are stainless... they may eventually get some surface oxidation but they should last as long as the car. I'm more worried about how long the engine components will last with the added heat... really my only concern, and the reason I ordered mine ceramic coated (and likely the reason JBA is taking so long with them).

Stainless steel headers will turn a nice bluish tint after time. i think it looks cool. Mine have just started to turn.

But seriously... I can't see much of a difference in size so I'm so disappointed to hear that one (or both) heat shields have to come out...
