    JBA Header install questions

Hey I am planning on ordering the JBA shorty headers for my charger but I am stationed in Germany and I dont think the local shops will do the install. I was just wondering if any one has done the install on these themselves and what the difficulty level of the install is?

Several of us have done it. It took me 4 hrs and I have a pit/lift. It is a very tight install. Do a search and I think you will find a couple write-ups on an install. scale of 1-10 this is 7 .

I did the install with my mechanic...its easy for a shop to do...they just need some extensions and 2 people....They arent that hard though.....just do one side at a time....the hardest thing to remove is the heat sheilds.

Just did the install with my friend who like to dabble with cars. It was a tight squeeze to get the exhaust manifold off and installing the bolts to the heads. Get yourself a set of metric extreme offset wrenches. We had to put the car on jack stands. 2 people are really needed for this job.

Check your Auto shop on base. They should have the tools and lift availlable to you. If not check some of the bases close to you.

Tlrche has a RT I believe were speaking of the V6. I also just did the install with my brother and I sure do fell a difference in sound and performance. If you have acess to a lift lovely cuzz I didnt and it does make it a little more difficult. Very tight fit good luck.

Yeah I will have the lift available at our base hobby shop I just wanted to see how difficult the actual instalation was. Thanks for the info and write ups from everyone. I also went with the ceramic coated so that its not as hot in my engine bay.

Mine came in the mail, and the gaskets are covered with a fealt type material. Is this normal?
