Thumbs up Installed Mopar Duals on 3.5L SXT

I had been looking for them and they finally got released. I ordered them from my local Dealer because of no shipping charges. Also ordered on friday and picked up on saturday. Looks like Borla makes this set.
The kit is in 6 or 7 pieces and is all stainless and mandril bent. It uses 1 large muffler and mounts on the same side as the stock. It also has 2 small mufflers with the chrome tips attached. I was impressed with the fit and quality. The tips are 4" oval chrome with BORLA on them. The instructions are very easy and it only took about 1.5 hrs from start to finish.

    part number lable

    Before

Measure for cutout with dremil tool

    Cutout done

    Loosen these 2 Clamps

I found out it was better to remove the old brackets completely and mount the rear mufflers on the the brackets instead of trying to put the rubber pieces on the car and then mufflers.

The whole exhaust comes out in one piece.(very heavy)

These are the tips and mufflers

Next just assemble all the pieces with the right clamps(several sizes)

    Finished (I know dirty bumper)

Hard to see final result so I will take some more pictures in the morning.

    very nice NC-SXT. howzit sound?
btw, those rubber hangers come right off if you spray them with penetrating fluid like WD40.

Thanks chicken, Sounds good. Probably more quiet then our Hemi Brothers would like. I did use power lube on the rubber and that works great but the rear mufflers are a little harder with pits like we have so I had to reach over the rail. Not an easy task for for an old fart. I really like the looks of the the tips and the mufflers. Oh in case you do any, the instructions say to use the the old clamps but they include new ones for the front Y (after cut the weld off the old ones).

I noticed that the heatshield is only on the right side. Does it come with a left side one? Does it matter?

It has 1 large muffler like the original, that way no other heatshield is needed. Has a yfrom cats to muffler then y out to both sides.

Was 425.00 ,no shipping from dealer.

Is this kit just to give you the look of a dual exhaust? Is it any louder? And noticeable difference in power..good or bad? Interior noise?

Not to put this kit down it's a great price and it's Mopar which is good, but are there any for the 3.5L that keep the 2 pipes separate all the way back? I've seen it on the 5.7L.

Looks good NC! Might be on my list to do next spring. How does the bumper look when finished? It looked good in your picture I would be kind of nervous making that cut. Just don't want it to look "hacked". Would love to hear a sound clip.

Started to make a sound clip and almost F**ked up. Almost ran in front of a F-150. Someone was watching out for me. I will try to do one later. The sound is very good and It looks like it is getting better as I seem to want to get on it more. I really like the looks ,sound, and the fit was near perfect. For the cut in the bumper, I used a bit on the dremil to cut close to the template then used the sanding drum bit to finish off. Finish sand with fine grit then touch up the edge with paint. I will eventually make a lip simular to the right side.

Would definitely like to hear this. Any noticeable improvment in power?
