    Inside 2.7L Valve Cover

A friend brought over an old indoscope(sp?) today, it's a neat toy but no camera attachment for pictures. So we took a peek at the lifters and cam chain. They are shinny and new looking with none of the brown varnish build up that leads to sludging. The car has been on 4000 mile oil changes and has 19,8xx miles on the clock. I will be pulling an oil sample, probably next week, and sending it off to Blackstone labs for testing. I am hoping the oil is going to be fine for 6,000 mile oil changes and to use as general guide of wear & tear in the future.

I will post the results here when I get the sample info.

And the oil to which you're refering is... ??? Mineral or Synthetic? 10W something, or 5W something?

Had to interact with grandson and he's the apple of my eye. Sometimes he just want's to rough house with me and then later snuggle with his grampa while he slurps down his bottle.

I use Mobil 1 0w-40 Euro formula that I buy at local Autozone parts store.

Grandkids... can hardly wait to have some. Son got married a year ago... but they're waiting a few years. This year he'll turn the age we were when we had him... so maybe it's not so bad.

"endoscope" is medical, "borescope" is mechanical.

Thanks "doc" for the correction. He's a plumber, so it could be endoscope I guess.
