hyundai tribune VS 3.5L touring

haha okay so this ricer boy at school kept talking how he could keep up with a 300C with a hemi, so i laughed, and he said he could eat up my 300 touring with the 3.5l.

he was talking **** about how he has over 200 hp haha BS. and I was just wondering if his 179hp rice machine has any chance of winning this, and its a manual by the way.

i want to but i want to make sure its going to be close for me for sure, because there is nothing worst than being beat by a big mouth ricer!

I know i got the power advantage but will the rims and car weight me down enough for me to lose?

Older Tiburon, you'll eat it alive.. those little 4 bangers were a joke.. Your torque will overcome the weight difference.

The newer ones with the v6.. I'm not so sure... It's the exact same motor as in their 4x4, but its a solid motor and in that car it performed decently, although nothing to brag about. I think the weight and wheels might kill you on that one.

You have some performance mods though, give it a run. it won't be by much if you lose. Our cruisers only have the 3.5 and they pull like monsters on some cars that i thought could outrun us immediately.

I think either would be good... I've gone from a dead stop to catch moving cars, and I've floored it from a roll to catch a faster moving car... the 3.5's aren't slow. They perform pretty good, I have been impressed by our cruisers a few times.

Well it's a Tiburon not a Tribune. And it has 173 hp not 179. Originally they were stated as having 181hp but later it was found out that hyundai overstated the numbers. I think you should be able to take it. But if he has mods you might want to be careful. There are plenty of mods for those cars. There are Tib's running 400+WHP.

welll today i learned my lesson, race will not happen.

my buddy and me raced his BMW 325i against the other guys tiburon, and of course my buddy in the bmw was much quicker... a bit tooo quick, all of a sudden we see the blue and red flashy lights. to make a long story short, they both got $410 fines for street racing and 6 demerit points off their licenses.

....lesson learned, keep the racing off the streets.
