Has anyone swapped out 3.5 for a 5.7 hemi or is it doable?

Just want to know if it is possible to swap out a 3.5L for 5.7 Hemi engine.

I have the mods CAI and Exhausts to add whatever the couple of HPs your going to get... but like it has been said... you only will get so much out of an SXT 3.5 and never reach the HP of the RT.

Somewhere I thought I saw an SR8 engine cost..about an extra $16K or so.... I know my CFO would not approve and I would be in the doghouse until time ends...

There are quite a few things to consider. You'll need the computers to go with the motor. Do you have a 42RLE or NAG1 tranny in your car now? If it's the 4 speed, then you'll likely need to swap that out too, and then the brakes, the list is pretty large.

Probably easier, and likely cheaper, just to rad cap mod.

Or would - trade in car + $6500 down (price of 5.7 engine), for an RT (or SRT) be a better idea? I don't know......

I see it cheaper to go with a rad cap mod. Or just throw some juice at it.

You want a sleeper; debadge a R/T and throw on some SXT wheels or something.
