any of you guys ever think of puttin mufflers/resonators from an infiniti fx35? those cars sound sweet....would be nice to have a magnum that sounds like that......whatcha think?

I like the sounds of them as well. Not sure if the sizing/location would work underneath the Mags.

well i mean just mufflers and resonators with custom piping......i dont think they're weird/oversized shapes

I love the sound of Infinitis, but I doubt that just the mufflers and resonators would duplicate that sound. Good luck though.

That's pretty funny.... NO! I'm sorry, having come from a Nissan product (Infiniti=Nissan, no matter what they tell you) There's no way I'd put anything from the FX on an LX except the HIDs.

It's a fine car, but it's not an LX. I'd never, ever, in a million years, trade my SRT8 for a loaded FX45.

if i had an srt-8 i probably wouldnt trade it for anything either......but i was just talkin about the mufflers

No, just installing the muffler system will NOT duplicate the muffler sound of the infinite.

There are specific muffler engineering to each stock vehicle. What may sound good for that particular is specific to much more than the tubing, but more so to the headers, muffler tubing length and diameter and most importantly engine displacement.

Your best bet to having a ride sound like an Infinity, is simply to buy one.

well i know it wont be exactly the same sound.....but it will make a fairly simliar sound...... just like a 5.0 liter mustang motor doesnt sound like 5.0 SL500 motor...they sound similar......but i can hear a mustang coming a mile away.....very distinct sound..........was just an idea.....cuz they sound nice.....so i would think that since the motors are the same size that it would sound nice on a magnum.......maybe not the exact sound......but still can sound nice

Well, the FX35 is a 3.5 litre V6. So it might sound a little similar, but you won't duplicate the intake noise, so it will never sound the same. I don't recall redline on the FX, but the VQ is an extremely well balanced engine and revs very freely. So even there, it is likely to sound different.
