Advice time...
I live in a pretty congested area with stoplights and signs in all directions. During the week most of my errands are within a 5-mile radius. In all of those trips, I can barely get the car up to enough speed to shift itself ONCE before I hit the next stop sign. My MPG off-highway SUCKS!
Question: is it true that you should try to get the car into as high a gear as possible at a slow speed because it saves gas? I'm talking 35-45mph max for the most part.
Question: do you save gas when you are coasting? Because I swear, I could coast around town on most of my errands.
