Early shifts?

Does anyone elses 4 spd. shift early while you are at about 1/4 to 1/2 throttle...like you are acceleration fast, but not really...where it shifts and keeps applying power...and also...does anyone elses rpms climb odd.....like it goes in shifts to get up to 4000rpm...and then it steadys out at a hard pull.

Yeah, I've at times noticed similar, although not consistently. Sometimes it pulls like a MoFo in 3rd gear from 3-4000RPM on up to redline, other times I'll floor it and it's got no pickup... Frickin HAL....

i notice all kinds of weird behavior from the 4spd tranny, and its all intermitant..sometimes it will gear hunt like crazy, othertimes it wont..and this is before and after the tsb was done for rough 1-2 shifts..

after the car is in 4th, does it kick into an overdrive gear?

cause if im cruising on the highway, hit he gas just enough to get it to kick down a gear, seems it goes into 4th, if i hit it a lil harder it will kick down to 3..

i find myself driving around town in 3 alot, and only putting it in D when im on the highway..

but over all the tranny seems just weird to me..no problems with it, just weird the way it shifts or wants to at times..

Although mine doesn't do the "gear-hunting", pretty much agreed on all points. Right down to the 3rd gear around town cruisin', lol...

It also does not drop down as you slow down like the SC does.

If I am in 3rd and stop in 3rd, it stays in 3rd. The SC drops down all the way to 1st at each stop.

i just wonder if there are any negative effects driving around in 3rd all the time, and whats the max speed u will go up to before kicking it into D..
