Dual exhaust - with non performance gain

The V6 charger has a bumper cutout for dual. I would have been happy if it didn't. Either case another exhaust needs to be there. to fill in. You all know that. I've done a seach and could not find the answer.

I'm wondering if somone already done a dual exhaust system without any performance sounds, or gains. Just like a dual stock exhaust. I just want to carry extra weight for looks only. I don't want any performance gains, better flow, etc.

I'm looking for something that looks as good as the Blastin Bobs, but with stock quiet sound. Another option I read here is that I can look for someone selling RT exhuast. But I'm hoping for some options that I can take action on now, instead of waiting for someone to sell, and etc, etc.

What are some options if I want a dual exhaust for a V6, just like stock?

    TIA

Yeah I agree with the R/T exhaust because if not you'd have to get another pipe and resonater to fit on the drivers side and weld the new pipe to the existing one.

I don't know where you're at but I'm in SoCal and I'm giving away a RT exhaust with Magnaflows. Local only. I don't want to ship it.

I think the dual mopar exhaust is what your looking for. It is a simple y pipe after the stock muffler into twin exits. Mopar super store.

But I think the lack of resonator's by the outlet's are going to provide unwanted noise for him. I'm thinking more along the lines of Blastin-Bob's resonated set-up.

No, def. go with the RT exhaust....he will just need the hangers for the drivers side.....anything else improves the sound.

Go with an R/T stock exhaust .... Thats what I did , Not sure of the performance gain ( I am sure there is some , minimal at best) and the sound is great (not whisper quiet , no too loud though either. Just a nice throaty growl).

Does the R/T exhaust have those big frickin suitcase resonators like the single (V6) exhaust has? I went with the single Borla exhaust and it feels like I'm getting the claimed 10 extra hp. It growls at take off, but once up to speed like on the highway, it is almost as quiet as stock. The Mopar dual exhaust you get from the dealer IS the Borla exhaust.... it just has the Mopar logo stamped on it. I had called Borla and asked them if there was any difference in power between the single and dual set up and they said it was the same. Anyways, the point I was getting at is if you want a dual set up, the Borla might be for you. From what some other members have said, it's quieter than the Magnaflow and the Blasting Bobs, is lighter than the stock set up and you will get some power gain. Then again, if you can get a free R/T setup from one of the members on here, go for it.

The point is that he wants to keep the stock sound.

it shouldnt. resonators are nothing more than smaller mufflers. the mopar setup has a HUGE borla muffler to absorb the sound already.

its straight through, which will give the extra sound, as well as performance. same goes for the magnaflow.

since the OP doesnt want anything out of the exhaust besides looks, cheapest route is the RT exhaust. will prob lose some gas mileage slightly, but satisfies all he wanted.

I did the Blastin Bobs set-up and it was alot quieter than the single Zoomers i had on. I had it done at their shop with hangers & installation included (He will use your stock muffler too)

Or just hang a second pipe over there if ALL you want is the look.

Yeah, you could just put a dummy pipe on the other side. Just spray the inside flat black to match the soot look of the real pipe and block off one end (so no one behind you can see light through it) and voila! Duals for cheap.
