    Dual Exhaust

Ok guys, i know i know, use the search, but i wanna know, do i need a second hanger for a dual magnaflow exhuast on my 3.5, and where do i get the pretty little cutouts, that go around the holes, the bezel is what i think its called. Also do i need a heat shield for on the left side?

    Blastin_Bob sells the exhaust bezels.

He may be able to sell you the hanger and isolator as well.

If you hang the muffler by the rear bumper, I don't think a heat shield is required. Bob would know for sure.

As far as the hangers go, if you have a dual system that was designed for the LX carts, you can actually weld the hanger to the frame rail. I had a problem finding the right part # at my dealer, so I used a generic hanger. The dealer also sells the bezels($13). If you don't run resonators, remove the heat-shield from the orinal right resonator. You can shape it to fit against the fuel tank. Use adhesive to stick it on. The RT's have plastic nubs on the tank to attach the factory shield. Ours do not, so you will still have to glue a V-8 shield to the tank. Might as well save the $$$. Shop around on the auction site and if you're lucky, you can find a V-8 system for much cheaper than a V-6 system. I know all the arguments about bigger pipes losing bottom end, but since I don't use my Maggie to tow anything, I'm not worried. I got a Doug Thorley system with X-pipe, dual mufflers(read Flowmaster style), chrome tips as well as all the 2.5" pipe for $280 shipped. I paid $100 for install and all is well. Good Luck

Since I redid the exhaust on the Magnum 4 times this advice I will give you. Make sure you have resonators. I used stock R/T resonators finally to kill the drone. Straight tailpipes behind the flowmaster muffler nearly made my head split open at 60+ mph, glasspacks as resonators were a tad better, resonated tips behind the glasspacks a little better yet. Not until I put the R/T resonators on was I able to drive comfortably down the highway. YMMV, meaning, you may tolerate it better than me, but if you ask me if you don't have resonators back there, it will drone. Although, I have no idea what the cherry bomb system is, but I do know they don't have a catback listed on their website for the Magnum. Even with the RT resonators, you don't need a left heatshield, at least I didn't after 2 years.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

I personally never heard one with the RT exhaust on the SXT. It has been done, there should be a soundclip out there somewhere. If you do that though, you'll have to pony up for the drivers gastank heatshield. You'll have to do the same if you go with any dual muffler system as well though.

A setup like Hazmans is very popular. Single in, dual out muffler. A lot of the true duels on the V6's sound pretty ricey at anything other than idle.

i noticed all the exhuasts sound ricey, anything that doesnt, and i was thinking with my headers on eventually, just running cutouts....but i thought it would sound like a car without a muffler.
