    Dang, first code thrown

Ok, so I was on my home from work, and it was wet, so I did a burnout on my way out of work. Well, In the midst of the brake torque, my dashboard blinked(the red lighting bolt, I assume the battery) and then I killed it, and drove it home the rest of the way. I just figured, no CEL that i would be fine, but i did the key dance anyway....crap, a code, P2299, something about accel/brake thingy....hope its not anything that will need repaired, I'm going to pull fuse 11 tomorow and hope that it clears everything up. Anyone know why it threw the code???? Fnky???

P2299-BRAKE PEDAL POSITION / ACCELERATOR PEDAL POSITION INCOMPATIBLE
    • When Monitored: Ignition on. No Break or APPS faults present.
    • Set Condition: The PCM recognizes a brake application following the APPS showing a fixed pedal opening. Temporary or permanent. Internally the PCM will reduce throttle opening below driver demand. One trip fault and the code will be set within 5 seconds. ETC light will illuminate, the light will only stay illuminated while DTC is active.
    Possible Causes
CUSTOMER PRESSING ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THEN PRESSING BRAKE PEDAL, AND CONTINUES HOLDING THEM DOWN SIMULTANEOUSLY
    STOP LAMP SWITCH
    APP SENSOR

You been trying any power braking to do a burn out or somthing ^_^

I don't think it will be a huge problem. Pull fuse 11 and it should clear it up.
    Good luck!

How did pulling fuse 11 work out for you? If you havent done it in a long time have you noticed how smooth the shifts are after pulling?

If I understand this correctly (and based on the fact that many of us have never seen this - even at track outings), HAL is ok with power-braking as long as you hit the brake first...

Hmm, Ive power braked many times, never had a code from it. There may be something to this hit the brakes first thing.

HAHA...so get this....I get to school this morning and remember, i gotta pull fuse 11...so i do a quick check for the code, and it says...-DoNe......I was like WTF, so just to get even with HAL, I pulled his fuse anyway...this computer isnt gunna make a fool outta me...but yes, the shifts and power have improved, it pulled so hard up to 100 today, i didnt even realize i hit 100....i thought it was still at 80, so i will stay hard on the accel. until sat. because thats E-town, and i wanna c if this increases the power.

Well, If the computer doesnt find a problem after 3 trips..Starting Car, Driving over 50mph parking and turning off it will automatically clear errors that are small and not re-occuring
