    Better throttle response

So Ive had my 300 limited for about 2 months now and i have a little over 650 miles. Anyways i was waiting at a light when all of a sudden here comes a BMW 325 rolling up next to me. you can tell he was about to do one of theose "when the light hits green im gonna cut you off" things. That really pisses me off. I hate being cut off especially while waiting on a red light. So being that i havent really tested my 300 out i was a little nervous. But i said to myself to hell with it. So just as the light was going to trun green he guns it trying to get a head start. so i pull off with him and we are side by side. All of a sudden i see the nose of his white BMW start to fall back. Im laughing my @$$ off but im still on the throttle. then he pulls away. I fel sooo good. My first run was a beemer and i took him to town (well sorta). Keep in mind i traded an LS1 Z28. Now i knoticed through all this that the throttle response was not all that quick. Is there a cheap way to get a better response from the throttle. I plan on trading her in two years for a HEMI Magnum or Charger so i really dont want to invest all that much into her.
    Thanks

get you an intake, something like the airhammer....and a good cat back would help you too. either should be able to be switched over to the next car as long as they stay the way they are now....parts are mostly interchangable.

The B&G flash will be the next upgrade on my list. I only worry about having the four speed tranny since some of the guys were having issues after the flash.

mgw23, you have to send your PCM in to Dave. You can't buy an new one and get it flashed. That's what we had problems with. I wanted to keep my factory PCM stock so I bought a new one and had it sent to Dave at B&G to have it flashed. Something on the factory PCM couldn't be put on the new one, by Dave, so the car ran but had engine light on.

It's a good mod but expensive if you're planning on getting rid of the car.

Thanks for the reply DannyC. I have had the car since last July and plan on keeping it for a few more years. I joined the forums last year as well and read almost daily and it has been interesting what you and the others have experienced with this flash. Having a backup PCM seems to be very wise as well if warranty work is performed at the dealership.

The Jet Chip helped improve my throttle response. And that's that since I've had the chip on for about a month already, I have been running it with my stock intake and my cat-back.

I need to take my car to the dealer for some minor warranty work which is why I took my intake off in the first place.
