    Awd 6.1l ?

Does anyone know if the SRT8 can be linked with the AWD transmission?

It's going to take a fair bit of work.

There's no available oil pan for the 6.1L with the hole in it for the half shaft, so that will have to be custom fabricated for starters. The PCM, TCM, and FCM will need to be swapped over. Not to mention that HAL's going to get all pissy with the different rear gears.

That's if you're attempting to put an SRT8 motor into an AWD car. If your plans are to add AWD to an existing SRT8 the changes are more severe, as the entire suspension system will need to be replaced, and you'll lose the Brembos.

If you already have a 5.7L AWD the best option would be heads & cam to get near SRT8 power levels.

What I have is the 3.5L AWD but I wanna go all the way up to the 6.1L but I love my AWD in Minnesota so I would like to see if it can be done without a complete rebuild of the entire car

Spoken like you've done the homework, Dave...

And I agree on the AWD power increase strategy. I was all ready to go down that road with ours...

I hear there's just such an AWD "experiment" going on in that magical garage in upstate NY later this month. I got my eye on it...

I think I remember reading that DC tried a SRT AWD but it was WAY to heavy in the front.

Well then, I guess I'll have to wait and see what the Thomas Knight company comes up with in their 3.5L SuperCharger kit experiment.

Crap, I can't find anything that says that now so I guess I'll have to retract it... I swear I read that right after the updated version was revealed at the detroit auto show.
