Anybody Else Have This Problem?

In cold weather, when i warm up my car then drive off before each shift there is a noise the car makes then shifts gears. the noise is like a puff of air or something. its like a pooff. i hear it only in cold temps. about 5 minutes after im driving the noise wears off.

im thinking its the exhaust, maybe i hit something and it made a hole or something?

im leaving my car at the dealer this weekend. just wanted to see if anyone had a similar problem

any ideas? suggestions?

I've only had it sputter once after not driving for a few days. Otherwise, nothing like that.

maybe you had it in the autostick mode

I have the same problem...I took it to the dealer and I was told it was normal for the tranny to make a slight noise at cold temps usually in the morning...once it gets to it's normal temp it goes away...I had them check my transmission fluid if It needed service or any leaks but everything was fine...

Well its -8c up here right now and I have never had this with my car. I can show you cold SC dudes.

I dont know if we have the same thing, but when i start my car up, before i go, about the first five min. my car makes a humming sound, not a constant but its a high pitch and once every 15-30 sec.

Its not on autostick mode

I don't think its a normal thing to do since it didn't do it before.

Another issue...when in idle the rpms go up a lil like if it accelerates a bit...and after a certain time it kinda does a cooling down thing....like when old hondas are turned off after driving it it turns on the fan and keeps going for awhile...mine did that while it was running...so something is definitly wrong

Yeah that sounds strange, maybe some sort of temp sending unit or a solenoid or some kind of switch on the fans? Have you popped the hood in the mornings to take a look while it was making this sound? I know before it warms up my car idles at around 800-1000 rpm.

okay left the car at the dealer today should get word from them tomorrow. hopefully it can get fixed. im thinking its a transmission issue, if it is im still covered under warranty right?

oh yeah heard some other stuff while i was in vegas 2 weeks ago. the engine cooled itself liek the hondas do after they are shut off. weird i never heard that before. then in idle while waiting in a traffic light my car rev's itself without even me pressing the gas. it doesnt rev extremely high but just a lil
