if it is the same as mine it is just a belt wine when it is cold and it goes away.

I've not heard that from mine but it doesn't get that cold here plus it's garage kept.
What happens to the sound if you blip the gas at idle? If it goes up in pitch I would say idler pully or belt noise.
It goes up a little....we(ppl in chat) are debating if it is the idler pulley, some think it may be power steering...but i cant figure that since im not turning...only happens in the cold though. Sometimes when i drive away right after startup it does go up with the rpms.

I get that wooooo wooo sound too with my 3.5. I listened with the hood up once and im just gonna say i think its either the very cold air rushing thru a cold plastic intake or its the egr system. Its been in the -20`s here all week and faithfully every morning it makes the woooo wooo sound and even with the block heater plugged in all night. It only started this noise when the temps hit 0c and colder. It will go away after a couple minutes. It was fine all spring summer and fall in the warmer weather.
5. Noise is typical when starting vehicle in extremely cold temperature. Normal duration of noise at start-up is less than one minute. If noise persists for extended time, verify proper fluid level. If fluid is low, inspect for leaks.
Thats from the power steering portion of tech manual....so this may be the issue...its normal they say.

Mine did that when I first got the car (17k) but now it doesn't do it anymore (40k)....
Izzy picsmoney talks. unfortunately, mine usually says... "good bye!"
sorry cant say i hear it in mine then again all i hear is the exhaust from inside my bedroom with remote start
yeah I to have that sound with stock
air box.
Blinker Mod, Auto Headlight Mod,91 Pred Tune
Fog light Mod, Shaved and De badged,Silencer Delete,Hood Struts,Strut cover,Modified Exhaust Flo-king muffler Dual out with Resonators Deleted.
They all make that noise when they first start up. It get's to minus 40 degrees here at times and the longest it lasted for me was about 45 seconds. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mine does that too, but for a few minutes the rpms stay as high as yours first did in the video. It sounded like your engine walked down pretty quick. I don't know if you had already had the car running, or it was the first start up of the day. If my car has been sitting longer than an hour, the rpms go up close to 2K and then takes a few minutes to walk down to about 6 or 700 rpms. Dealership still says this is normal, but I can't tell you how nervous it makes me to hear the engine do this on a 15 degree morning. Still can't find an intake leak. Anyways, yeah, mine makes the choochoo sounds. Seems belt related. Didn't do it when it was warmer out.
