    Air intake path?

I looked at a V6 engine today and just can't figure out how the air intake is feeding the engine. It looks like the left manifold is feeding the right cylinder bank and the right manifold is feeding air into the left cylinder bank valve cover. What am I missing? Anyone have a engine cutaway pic or diagram or who can describe what I was looking at?

    TIA
