    Aftermarket Exhaust for SXT

I'm looking at exhaust for my SXT. I'm very interested in a BUDGET exhaust system. Which system would you get?

Any of you pioneers with Duals on your SXT feel free to chime in here. If you have custom exhaust, what kind of tips did you get? My options are 6" long 3" round tips with rolled edge, 6" long 4" round tips with rolled edge, 12" long angle cut chrome tips with rolled end. Any of these allow room enough for a small glass pack as a resonator. I haven't been lucky enough to hear any true dual exhausts on the SXT and am very apprehensive of the wrong sound...

And no, Zoomers are not an option for me so let's not go there.

The setup I have is dual flowmaster 40's...but without the glasspacks. It's loud, which is funny because I just got pulled over for modified exhaust (buddy in car was cop, so I got out of it). I LOVE the growl from these....they make it all worthwhile! But I would add the glasspacks to reduce the 'cop attention' noise. Ask anyone that has seen my car at the shows and they can tell you it sounds like a 8. Make sure they put the heat sheild over the other half of the gas tank too!

I'll try to get some video up of mine if I can if you want.

Is Zoomers not an option because of price? Our single cat-back works well with the single cutout in your bumber and is only around $600.00...I'd like to get more guys in tune to our exhaust for the SXT...PM me if your interested.. We'll talk price...

Every day I am more impressed with my mopar/borla duels. The install was a snap(only if you can get under it). I promise I will get you a sound clip. No they are not loud. Remember if you do 2 mufflers you will need to buy(100 or more) or make a heat shield. BTW anyone thats in my area I would be glad to help install.

Yeah, price really is the issue because I really want the dual tips. Yours is the best sounding single exhaust I've heard, without a doubt. But to get the duals it just wouldn't be worth it to me to spend that much.

Now, I have wondered what it would sound like with the dual flowmasters and your tips. I'm even considering the dual inlet/outlet single flowmaster muffler for the increased backpressure and not having to do the 2nd heat shield.

With that said, I'm still waffeling and may go with the single exhaust as that should net the best performance. I'll PM you to about the single exhaust and see if it doesn't get more in the mix of things.

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?

I would love to get to hear and see a video clip of your setup. That would make this decision so much easier.

Zoomers sounded...ok...to me, it was the noise inside that made me take them off. The Mopar setup looks like it may be a winner depending on how it sounds and what the noise levels are inside. The price is definetely right and I think it looks great.

Ok posted and ready to rock.

This is one of me on the onramp to the freeway this morning.

Got this when I got home today (please excuse the dirty Mag...its been raining). Got a engine start and a few good revs.

I am still thinking of adding glasspacks to reduce the drone a tad at 3-3500 RPM's....but other than that I love it. Judge for yourself.

I've got the Dynomax system and I love it... It is a little louder inside then I would like but I am going to use some rockford fosgate deadskin in that area to drowned out the noize
