3.5L using oil??

Does anyone elses car use oil. Mine usually will drop from the FULL mark to the ADD mark between oil changes which I do at 5000 km. I can't see any noticable oil splotches on the car, and I can't smell or see any oil in the exhaust fumes. Is this normal? Or is there something wrong here? Thanks

Sounds normal to me. i`m half way between changes now and mines between full and add.

car doesnt use oil at all.... three oil changes and the level mark has not dipped.

i'm not sure i would call using or burning oil as a normal thing unless it was an older car or bad design. there are a lot of posts on burning oil in both engines. open your throttle body and see how much oil has been sucked into the intake track....

if you find a good coating, may wanna invest in a catch can in the future.

Mine went through about a 1/4 of a quart from when we purchased the car from the dealer until time for oil change. I performed an oil change about 2000 miles ago but put in Mobile 1 synthetic...no drop in oil level yet.
