    3.5 Dyno results

So I went to get the ride dyno'd. Great place!! I made almost 187 RWHP and 212 ft./lbs. of TQ. I'm really happy with the TQ numbers. This was with the stock intake and just my Exhaust Depot Exhaust. The scan is kinda crappy looking but you can kinda see the numbers below.

Maybe I can't see it well, but it looks to run pretty lean until like 5200. Something wrong with their equipment? If not, I would not run that lean at WOT.

I have a feeling its just the motor dynamics on these 3.5s. I am not sure but the chicken said somthing about the valves (4 valves per cyl) opening up more at around that point. These are higher reving motors then the 5.7s.

250 hp is at the crank on the motor. You lose power as it is transferred through the drivetrain to the wheels.

Exactly. This is what dyno's are for. To see what kind of HP and TQ you are actually putting down to the ground.

My HP #'s are about the average for our cars. The torque is actually pretty high. I think one guy had his TQ around the 170's or 180's which is pretty low. But usually people are around 200 when it comes to torque.

I actually dyno'd first in the 190's HP and about 204 torque or something but it was on a cold engine. I wanted to see what I had with a hot engine.

Some engines are able to safely run in Closed loop mode at WOT. The 3.5L engine may be one of those engines.

Just seems awful lean to me. Thats not where the power is made and can be harmful to the engine running on the edge like that. One weak plug and its new engine time. Maybe its the way it runs, maybe they had a leak in their sampling equipment.

If they are higher revving, then why stop at 5600? Most HEMI's dyno closer to 6,000, some over with any light mods.

Looking good My dyno for my SE was 165 with a exhuast, should be fun to see what a chip and a intake does!
So damn custom, I don't even need a sig!

Only bad thing about that is you will get to 115 even faster. Just putting in a jet chip doesnt do anything to the speed limiter. The only way to get that taken off is with a B&G flash. Which is about $200 more expensive and requires taking out the whole computer.
