Went with Cooper Discovery M&S 255/55R18's - I have had these on my two other trucks and have been very pleased with them! They have great aggressive winter tread as well in general they have lasted me 60,000 km or roughly 5 winter seasons. They definitely stop better than all-season tires I have had on my trucks BFG all-terrain T/A's and the Mickey Thompson D**K Cepek F/C II's.

Yes these winter's are fairly wide tire but it was one I have used for several years and had very good luck as well they are fairly reasonable $200/tire CDN.

Good luck in finding your winter tire

    I willl have HanCook W300 Ice Bear's 255/55 R18 next week

I got them thru TireTrend.com a Canadian site like American site TireRack.

Cost me only $825 CDN total tax and shipping included

I can't give a personnal opinion yet, as I just ordered them, but there website had a lot of good reviews from people using them.

    Good Luck

On my second winter with Pirelli Scorpion ice and snows - 235/60 18's. Smooth, quiet, very good snow traction, excellent ice grip.

I have no hesitation recommending this tire for any LX vehicle.

Never give the competition an inch

Thanks for all the reviews....this is what I wanted to hear...to see how everyones tires were working for them considering every winter year is different...this year is supposed to be worst than others...they say this every year but I would like to have those northerners experience so far since I know it is hittin Canada fairly bad already.....

I'm stuck between Blizzaks and Pirelli....both very good tires...both great reviews and in the same price range.....I will make my decision very shortly as the snow should fall shortly...

Thank you everyone and keep those reviews coming as the snow falls in your area....
