    Wierd high pitched chirp...

getting this chirp after I come to a complete stop- EVERYTIME i stop it makes the sound, sounds like it is coming form the front passenger side wheel.. It has a consistent rhythm - its like an eh-eh - Hard to explain in words...... my gut tells me a wheel bearing??? But im not a mechanic and can be totally wrong..

    Its a 2006 charger r/t with 62k -

Checking for wheel bearings if fairly easy, you just need a 2-3 ton jack. Jack the car up with the wheels straight. With the wheel off the ground, place your hands on the front and back of the wheel and rapidly do a push/pull motion. You can also do the same motion with hands on top and bottom of the wheel as well. There'll be some play in the suspension, that's normal; but if the wheel moves independent of the suspension, especially if you feel or hear a clunking sound, the bearings need to be examined.

A high-pitched chirp and 62k miles might tend to make me thing 'brakes'...

Wow. That's not good. Glad you found them before your wheel fell off.

Lugs don't get loose on their own, unless they were never torqued down to begin with (especially street driving, track can be a different story).

Id be willing to bet that the shop that did my breaks did not torque down the wheel after my break job 2 weeks ago.

Time to voice a complaint. I had a shop over-torque the lugs on my wife's car and I spun off 3 studs while doing some work on her car in my driveway. Damn I was pissed!!

So the brake shop took a break when they were working on your brakes I take it...

I'd be right po'd if my brake shop broke my brakes, maybe I'd think about breaking something at the brake shop to make up for them breaking my brakes.

If the wheel fell off because of the brake shop taking a break while breaking my brakes I think I'd sue and then the brake shop would be broke and wouldn't be able to break anyone elses brakes.

Glad your brakes weren't broke and all is better now...
