    wider tires?

    hey guys,

I have a 2006 dodge daytona r/t charger with stock rims and was wondering how wide could i go on these rims. A little more height would be okay but not necessary. I notice there is a strut bolt sticking down on the front top wheel well which would hinder much more height. I just want wide as i could go.

    Thanks, Rob

255x55x18 is the biggest for a stock rim.

Guys. I have an 07 r/t. Will that tire work for mine as well? I know I have a 225 compared to a stock daytona with 235. I didn't know if that mattered.

^^^^ Yeah that tire size should work fine on any NON-SRT8 LX car.

You can also use a 245x55x18 tire, same height as the stock tire, just not as wide as a 255 tire.

If you had wider rims you could run wider tires on back, I've seen 305's fit in the rear , though you might need wheel spacers. I had good luck with 255/55/18 General Grabber UHP's on stock rims, a really good rain tire.

Thanks for the Pic. Awesome Look!!!

OK, I'm sold on the size. I have an 07 Charger with the other stock wheels, but I suppose the tires will still fit based on everybody's opinion. It's funny, I can't get any tire guys in the area to tell me the truth about the tire size that'll work.....They all try and keep me in the 225's.

Now that I look at the post, you guys are all Magnum guys. Are you sure they'll work on My 07 charger? I hate to be paranoid, but I'm getting ready to place the tire rack order and I can't wait to get them.
