Why did DCX use 245 front, 255 rear

I searched and cannot find any discussion on this subject.
From an engineering point of view, is there a performance reason for the size difference on the SRT.

In SRT chat it was mentioned hat was as big as they could go without rubbing.

And for OEM they have to make sure that at full suspention movement in every direction will never rub. Thats why people are getting away with the 295 in the back and 265's in the front.

narrower front tire = a little more responsive cornering, too.

    Now I understand, thanks.
I knew about the rubbing issues (non-issue) as bigger fronts to a point seem to do just fine and wider in the rear for more contact patch.
Cornering capability, narrower tire in front.
    OK thanks again.
