    Wheels + tires = confusion

I will start off by saying that I have a 2007 Charger Superbee and I know absolutely nothing about wheels and tires. I freely admit that I am pretty close to useless on the topic, but I am trying to learn, and I need some serious help, lol.

The tires on my car are the stock F1 supercars with the stock superbee wheels and they are in pretty bad shape, the tires not the wheels. I want to put on much wider tires (265-275 fronts and 295-315 rears if its possible) and wheels, while maintaining the wheel size, but am not entirely sure what I should be looking at in regards to sizes and brands. I would also like to maintain stock ride height but wouldnt mind closing some of the gap between the tire and wheel well if that is at all possible just with different tire sizing?

I would like to start with wheels and will then switch the topic to tires later on. I am looking for a staggered setup so I am assuming that for wheels I should be looking at 20x9 for the fronts and 20x10 for the rears? Could someone post up pictures or links for wheels that would look good on a superbee? Maybe something that could be painted black and yellow to match the colour scheme of the car? Is there anything else that I should be asking or answering that I havent?

Thanks in advance for any and all help provided.

Was hoping to stay at 3 grand or less for wheels and tires, preferably less, lol. Is that a realistic number to get what I'm hoping for?

Are you absolutely opposed to the idea of 22's? The reason I ask is there are so many more options out there, and look so much better. I haven't seen any 20's that beat the look and performance of the forged factorys.

Your OEM wheels are 20x9 already. Just saying.

I was under the impression that it was a lot harder to find matching tires in a staggered setup with 22s then it is with a set of 20s. I like the look of 22s just didnt think it was possible to get the sidewalls to match up from front to back with the staggered width differences.

I cant stress enough how little I know on the topic and just how much help I need, lol. Trying to learn as much as possible. Sort of like a sponge, the only problem is Im one of those sponges that drops all the water as soon as you take me out.

Some more details that I have been answering in pm's. I like split spoke wheels, five spoke, multi spoke in that order. I like wheels with or without a lip, though I think I would like to try a lipped wheel this time around. Rivets are sort of hit or miss with me. Some wheels they look good others they are just to much. Example would be the Lexani lx15 wheel. I like the wheel but feel the rivets are just a little to much and feel the wheel would be nicer without them. I also like the look of hidden lug nuts. I am also looking to paint the wheels black and yellow so I need a wheel that can have the colours seperated/taped off with the wheel lines.

Again, thank you for all the help so far!!!

Does anyone have some pics, or at least some links, to some wheels that they think would look good on a Bee?

You can do 22's staggered. 22x9, 22x10 is common. Tires that commonly go on those would be 255/35-22 F, 285/30-22 R (that's the tire combo that was on those Lexani's, so next time you see them, go look. 285's ain't skinny ), or 265/35-22 F, 295/30-22 R (which I believe CtheWall did)

How about the Viper's in staggered 22's? There's a set with a blue stripe, just repaint it yellow. I think it'd look sweet on your Bee. Cuz you also have the black hood, so the black wheels with just the yellow accent would go well together IMO

a bit much yellow IMO, I'd have done the lip in gloss black to pick up the rest of your painted black accents + they're USW's (=$$$$$$$$) but just as an idea perhaps.

Before you start getting him excited, USW's are like 5K+ for the wheels alone lol

I mean, super dooper quality and all that, but I'm pretty sure he's not looking to spend THAT kind of coin

DO a search...there is a HUGE...MONSTER-long... wheel thread for Magnums, I'm certain there is one for the Chargers too?
