Wheel tire fitment for 2010 Callenger RT lowered

Well I thought I would pass this on. I read a lot of posts saying certain tires will fit and some will not.

I wanted a set of drag radials and mustang rims were not an option.

I went to discount tire in Belingham Washington and ordered BOSS 338 on an 18" rim along with Nitto NT05R. I can say that it will not fit a challenger legally as the tire protruded almost 2" past the wheel well. I was surprised when they said this would work as the offset was -4.

I then ordered Huntington Bosa 18" rim with a 24mm offset and still keeping Nitto NT05R. They put the combo on and it rubbed my inner plastic area by about 2mm.

I said the hell with it and took them home and pulled my RT classic rims and put on one of the tires found the problem and messaged the plastic with a heat gun and now I have about 5mm clearance

I tried the new combo at the rack and I'm very pleased with the results.

My car reminds me of the money Pitt, I buy one thing and now I need a bleep line lock LOL I'm at least having fun!

The point of this the 305/45/18 will fit but unless you are willing to have part of the tire stick pass the wheel well I do not see how a 315mm tire will fit.
