beauty in function rather than aesthetics!

it actually rides really good on the freeway/street as long as you dont make jerky movements, then the front end feels a little hairy.

id feel confident driving this setup to a track an hour away as long as you just crusie in the right lane.

i brought it up to "speed" and it feels very steady in a straight line, and you can definately feel that there is less weight on the front.
the shifts feel a lot stronger too.

cant wait to test it on saturday... ive already got the passenger seat pulled too

Tech won't give you a hassle with the speed rating?

front tire is an M&H race tire... the front wheel is just a steel wheel, nothing uncommon on the track right?

if 10 second cars can run this setup up front, i think ill be all right

p.s. gonna be ordering a camber correction kit in the near future, be ready! im sure you can see why in the last picture

Dumb question I'm sure though I've not been racing long....What am I gonna gain running skinny's? other than a small weight reduction of course. and another question I've been wanting to ask, should I remove the front sway bar to aid in weight transfer? If so, what would this do to driveability? I'm looking to improve my 60 ft and I'm pushing the 12 second mark virtually stock other than a tune and exhaust

    less weight, less rolling resistance.

and yes to the sway bar. i havent done it yet, but the people ive talked to that have say it makes a noticeable difference. i may yank it off for this weekend but havent decided yet.

you will not handle as well without the sway bar, and jerky movements may feel less controlled, but its a track mod, not a street mod ya know

pulling the sway isnt hard to drive, its just not something you should leave off all week

I have not put mine back on since I have taken it off.... it is a noticeable difference when on the street. Your days of aggressive driving other than going down a straight line are DONE...finished..kaput.... don't even attempt it once you have taken them off.

For some folks that may be a good thing.

I have the same setup for the track and was able to finally hit the 11s with this setup. I also drive 45 minutes to the track like this and am careful to avoid any bumps as I only have 3" of ground clearance at best with a SRT8
