    Tire pressure sensors?

How do I know if I have them in my '05 300C, other than letting the air out of one of my tires and waiting for a light to come on?

If I do have them, and I want aftermarket wheels, do they have to be pulled out of my factory wheels and installed in my aftermarket ones? Seems like a PITA....

yeah, you do need to transfer them to your next set of wheels, or you can buy extras, they have come down a bit, I think about 45 bucks each....as far as knowing if you got them or not you should be able to tell by looking at the stem. the ones with the pressure sensors usually have a steel or metal stem on them instead of rubber.

If you're selling your OEM wheels, you may want to see if the buyer is willing to buy them from you. If he/she doesn't, they will have to have them rebalanced, which generally offsets the cost.

I bought a set of SRT wheels and it wasn't specified. I got them with no sensors, so I had to buy the sensors and then have them balanced again. I told the guy I would have bought him new ones, it would have been cheaper for me and better for him.

How can you tell if you have them? Well on mine, the stems are aluminum instead of the black rubber you would expect to see on a conventional stem. However, I understand there are two types. So you could do a search on the forum, or perhaps someone who remembers will step up.

Only one type of sensor... it's the actual system that has 2 styles (one is just a dummy light, one tells you the pressures for all 4 corners in the EVIC).

Then you definitely don't have the sensors and can get whatever valve stem installed that you like in your new wheels.

Sure. Not the factory one, but google "aftermarket TPMS" and you should come up with quite a few options.
