There are sensors in the wheels attached to the valve stems. I'd suggest getting 4 new ones from your dealer.

You could use the old ones over I suppose, in either case make sure you use a torque wrench.

you can transfer your valve stem/transmitters over to you new wheels. If you get a new set you will have to get them matched up with your car.....meaning a trip to the dealer. Besides, they are about 40 bucks each.

I didn't need a trip to the dealer, the car recognized them on its own.

Also, if you dealer gives you decent pricing on the sensors they can be had for quite a bit les than $40 each... my dealer gives me wholesale pricing for parts on my car

For 40 bux apiece , actually less with my SPACE CITY LX discount , I went and bought some from the dealer and had the tire people put them in when I purchased my new wheels.

IIRC I paid like $28 each for the SRT ones...

Not sure what the difference is, I thought maybe because of the wheel diameter, but when installed it really doesn't look like its that critical. But then again, I haven't seen the RT ones.

Fancy little devices... they measure the tire pressure, act as the valve stem, transmit the measurement via radio to a receiver in the wheel well...

So they cost a little more than $10 each!

I'm amazed how accurate they are. I get the light when cold but after the tires warm up on the hiway the light goes off.
