    TEIN coilover question.. 300C vs 300C SRT8

    I have a 300C 5.7L

I will be switching to the SRT8 Brembo Brakes shortly front and rear, which means replacing the front and rear knuckles.

is there a difference in the TEIN Coilover kit between the 2? or is it the same kit?

which should I get? And does one fit the other, that is if I install the TEIN first using the 300C kit, then switch to the SRT8 brake setup will it still work or do I need to just get SRT8 all the way around?

installation is being based on time, so the suspension might go in first, I don't want a situation where I install it, then when I change the knuckles I'm screwed.

TEIN won't say much, but there is a part number difference and a $200 difference in the price, but that could simply be so they screw the SRT8 crowd because it's an SRT8 and in reality it is all the same kit from base thru SRT8 (at least all my reading on various forums tells me this)

yes I would agree, but there are 2 different part numbers listed and a specific note from JonW that the SRT kit doesn't work/fit on the 5.7L

so I am wondering if it is related to the steering knuckles.

I have the SRT8 OEM suspension now and my steering knuckles where recently replaced due to excessive wear on the ball joints, and apparently the ball joints are sold as part of the knuckle for the 5.7's

so there in lies my curiosity, is the SRT8 kit going to pull down on my 5.7L ball joints to the point of causing an issue, and should I just get the SRT8 kit and be done with it?

or save myself $200 and get the 5.7L kit and will it work with the taller SRT8 knuckles.

From my understanding marc, the srt8 only has different knuckles, hubs and wheel bearings and, different rear hubs and stub axles out back. Thats what I have heard everything else seems to be the same except the springs and shocks which are blisteins on the srt's and cant remember what comes stock on the 5.7 though.... hmmm im going to think on this some ill be back later lol

Wrong... SRT8 also has upgraded bushings. All the bushings on SRT8 models are stiffer with smaller voids.

Then im going to say you should be ok because if everything I read is true then, the kit should button right up. your only concern is the coilover kit which is going to bolt up nice and fine with your srt spindles. You shouldnt have any issues
