i dont think a spacer is going to make a difference
Will the caliper even fit inside a 17" wheel as far as diameter goes???

Some wheels are manufactured to specifically clear those FAT brembos.
I had the same problem with my Subaru Impreza wagon. But I was able to find some that cleared the brembos. ASA's is what ended up ordering
I dont think its gonna happen, the calipers are a pretty tight fit inside the 20" rim as it is..thats why SRT`s ONLY come with a 20 rim standard.
Thanx for the replies, the answer is YES by using a 7/16 spacer on the front rotors and longer wheel studs I was able to fit 17s on the SRT8, rears fit w/o modifications.
