    suspension question...

is there a difference between, r/t shocks/struts and springs, and SE shock/strut, springs..

will my SE benefit from r/t shocks/springs, or will i be better off just taking it up to srt components?

    thanks...

    Thank You Haz

    Yes & no.

Realize that struts & shocks are often designed with weight as a consideration. To be safe, I would suggest checking on the replacement struts & shocks for your car and then compare the part #'s of those to the RT replacements.

Sway bars also have that consideration though I have seen non-Hemi car owners praise the improvements of adding the sway bars from the RT's.

I wish you were in Texas. I'd make a deal for you on my RT bar set that is taking up space in the garage. You will need to pick up teh attachment hardware to go along with the bars. I put the Hotchkis bars on and they use the OEM links. I also have the OEM RT springs. Shipping to you would not be very reasonable. Look for someone who has upgraded their RT in the regional forums near you.
My Duster is getting an Inertia Motorsports HEMI!

Didn't you make it to the Texas ALL MOPAR event benefiting the Tx School for the Blind?

basicly im just looking a lil /"better" ride, and feel the SE suspension is way to soft or floaty feeling..something a lil firmer, absorbs bumpy roads better ,better steering response yet not teeth rattling when going over bumpy roads

thank u for your input, much appreciated..

Be careful substituting a V8 suspension on your V6 - the total weights of the two vehicles are different, plus the front end weight of the V6 is much less than the V8. That's why Chrysler has unique components between the two. I would want to know if anyone had done this before with success.

If you can wait a bit (1rst quarter of 2007), KONI will have FSDs for these cars which will give you the extra body motion control you seek without a punishing ride. Versus the KW coil-overs, you will save some $500 or more and have a better ride quality, but you wouldn't have the ride height adjustment they offer.

As usual, you have to decide what you want and how much you are willing to spend to get it.
