Tubing is smaller, all the metal is thinner, welds are uglier (than the DC)... Diallo (Da HNIC) had one, we looked at ours side by side. Personally I wouldn't expect much from it if you bought it.

I was helping another member look for one last week and found these:

    http://www.hopupracing.com/dcspcastfrst1.html

    http://www.howellautomotive.com/inde...OD&ProdID=1742

They appear to be legit & still available. You'll probably find more with a quick Google.

    Good luck...............

the Razor's Edge part looks like a pretty compelling "strut tower brace". I don't think you'll get much, if any, benifit from the DC bar.

I've driven chargers with both DC and Razor's Edge strut braces (mine is DC) and I really couldn't tell a difference between the two at all, but both had a slightly more responsive steering.

Um, yeah. I have a DC Sports bar on my MSRT8, and it most definitely works. Just do a search, and learn about all the various options. Would I buy the DC Sports today? Maybe not, but only because there is at least one other that I find more esthetically pleasing..........

I have to agree with you there. I'm waiting for STack Performance to finalize theirs. It's similar to the Razor's Edge, but on steroids.

Are these strut tower bars from the same manufacturer? I ask only becasue the both say DC * but the mounting brackets to the tower are different.

It might just be that the pictures are of different models. It looks like pic. from Hopup is not for an LX to me, but you should verify for comfort level. The pic from Howell looks correct. The part number you want is CSB1102, and they both say that's what they offer. You probably can't tell from this pic. of my car, but this is the correct config.

I read on several posts that the DC strut brace was discontinued ?? Has anyone actually tried to order one ? Also, wasnt there and issue with the hood closing on the SRT Chargers ??

I have also been looking at braces and with basically 3 available theres not much to choose from.

As I recall, they sold the rights to someone else. I'm sure you can find it with a quick search. Only way to know if you can still get one is to contact a vendor or two, that says they have em.

There is an issue with the SRT8 charger underhood air ducting. It can be trimmed to fit tho. I have the Charger SRT8 style CF hood on my Mag with the same air duct. It does touch a little bit but just bends out of the way when the hood is closed. I don't have any pics. that show it well tho.........

The DC name was bought out if I remember correctly by another company. They had a waiting list for a new brace they were supposedly coming out with (I was on it) but I haven't heard a single thing about it since last May or June when it was supposed to be released.

The ducting from the hood gets in the way of the brace. I couldn't get the OEM SRT hood I had on mine to close and I didn't want to risk bending it by trying to close it since it was only on the car temporarily. It will fit if you trim the ducting though, just not sure exactly how much.
