    srt8 suspension

Ok Ive searched through this forum and I cant find an exact answer. I was to replace my RT suspension with the SRT8 suspension. Where would I buy the stock shocks and springs for a SRT8 magnum so I can install it on my RT? Do any of you know the brand or model number of the shocks? Would I get them through the dealer?

To my understanding what is involved on the SRT suspension is just the springs, shocks, and sway bars. Am I correct on that? Anything else to make the ride of a RT ride like a SRT8? Ive looked third party and I just cant see spending over 2 grand. Im not looking for anything will outperform anybody else. I just love the ride of the SRT8 and wanted it to be on the RT without the horsepower.

Yes the horsepower would be fun to have but Ill get in trouble.

I think you can get it here Lee's Parts for like $1300.
How about some good replacements for the RT for a good price? (under $400) The Eibach lowering spring killed my shocks.

Here check this out and it should answer your questions. Good luck. But I will tell you that if you are going to buy new factory components, your better off getting adjustable coil overs.

The wallowing pig is dead, long live my SRT bolt on mod!.

Go with the KWs and Hotchkins sway bars or Hotchkins TVS-1. Both will render better results than the stock SRT suspension.

You know that's an interesting statement. I'm not doubting it but we will have to put that to the test at GIFO4 in May. Mattrobertson has all those goodies and the same basic performance upgrades mine does. I'll have to challenge him to some autocross running.

Yea i been thinking about doing this too. The only resone i have been waiting is cause there are to many question to answer before droping 500 on struts that might not help. I will have to replace the struts cause the eibachs have proven that they wear out stock C parts. Eibachs struts and shocks are to new so the cost is crazy i'll wait it out. Black Cherri dones't get that many miles on her to warrant the cost right now.

Love to do that but just tooo expensive. Something that can give my RT a better ride than it is will just do fine.

I talked with one of our own today and he picked up a full set on Egay for a little over 3 bills. Best improvement you'll ever make for that kind of coin.

You talking 8 Suspension Cam. Hay one of the vendors here sold a set on there too. For 300 i would do it. That's dirt cheap. to get it all new is 700ish.

I picked up a set off ebay too. 300 plus shipping. I'm hoping to find the time to put these on this weekend. I don't doubt that the coilovers are better...but for the $1000-ish savings I can nearly get a set of headers.

Hey Sorbs, I had no idea you had Hotchkis springs I thought you had a different set up.
Why doesn't you car have that raked look? Are you using the part #19101? You can pm me here or at hour 300 spot. I know, these questions never end..... lol

Buy the SRT-8 Hotchkins TVS-1. That kit eliminates the rake...It also rides just as smoothly as stock. When you put it through its paces at high speed no wallowing in the corners or wheel hop either.
