SRT Knocking while turning right only???

I have a MSRT8 with 20K. For the last 2-3 months whenever the car has been sitting for a few hours and its cold it will make a knocking sound when I am making sharp right turns but only at slow speeds. It will not do this after I have been driving for a while, only right after start up. I took it to the dealer they replaced the rack & pinion, but the problem still remains. It sounds like the sound is coming from below the drivers side, I can feel the vibration in my feet. The suspension is stock. Any help?

Stock wheels...............It sounds like it could be the mid pipes rubing but why would it only do this when the car is cold. Not when its hot.

Heat does things to metal. In a catback it can cause it to expand and move from its original position.

    GGT4,

There are a few posts out here on the single knock sound while turning , the sound comes from the opposite side of the turning direction.
The same thing was happening to me with the temp. issue. I am in a heated garage and when i am out for a bit (1 hr) in the cold 20-35 F and the car starts to get cold I hear the sound on turns, or whenever the weight of the car is shifted to that side ( going over "silent police" in the road) but now it is starting to do it all the time.
I was able to duplicate the noise , clunk, at will by driving at about 15 mph and whipping the wheel in the turning directing that causes the noise or from a stand still by putting my foot on the brake (HOLD IT) , put it in drive , give it some gas, and then put it in reverse and give it some gas with you other foot still on the brake. In reverse you will hear the same noise.
Most say it is the tension strut!
I have not diagnosis mine yet, and do not have the time to be jerked around by the dealer. (car still under warranty with only 7200 miles).
So good luck and know you are not alone.
