what car is that rear end out of? I want those rear struts (bilstein???) what part # would they be?
07 Charger SRT8.
Wow, there is a weekend project lol!! Lookin great!
Wheels // Accessories // Body kits // Suspension // Electronics
about 1 and a 1/2 full days. All the bugs took about another 2 weeks to work out.
Just curious, are those upper rear links aluminum? Because I could swear that the upper rear links on my Magnum are steel. I wonder if that is exclusive to SRT's or just Chargers??

Any issues with the SRT8 rack install into a non-srt car? I've heard of issues with steering wheel ending up 180 degrees off.
Nice project. How did everything turn out?
I put a set of SRT springs and struts on my magnum R/T and love the set up.
I hope you do too.
What's the difference between the R/T and SRT steering racks?
The upper arms are aluminum.
The rack was 180 degrees out so I had to drill the steering shaft. I feel that I could have gotten an alignment and it may have corrected the issue too. After I did the drilling the wheel was still off like 15 degrees. I got and alignment and the right tire very slightly rubs the inner fenderwell by the ABS sensor plug on full locking left turns. The right outer tie-rod is worn though.
I think that I felt more performance gain from the rear differential than my sidewinder cam and FRI U/D pulley install. Love the look and performance!![]()
There has to be a work around for the Steering wheel being off...
What's the difference in the two steering racks??
Congrats, I did mine a while ago. You'll enjoy the new gears. FYI, that rear end cannot be out of an '07, had to be out of an '08 or above. The rear bilsteins (yellow) were started in '08.

It's really simple... not sure it's worth the pic.
there is an intermediate linkage that connects the steering gear to the shaft that comes out of the cabin. On the end that connects to cabin side of the linkage there is a pressed in tab (kinda like a dimple) that keeps you from rotating the intermediate linkage 180* as the shaft is setup to be put on one way. The tab is in no way structural or important to the connection itself, part of me thinks it's just there to make sure it doesn't get flipped to the wrong side during assembly.
