This should be ok should'nt it?

I am thinking about getting these wheels:
    http://www.car-rims.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=at695

    They are :
    18X8 on115 @ 20mm offset
I was thinking that there shoudlnt be any interference or fitment issues and that the Stock Michelins should be ok with this as I am not autocrossing or anything hairy like that.

I thought that I would run it by ya'll in case I was overlooking somehthing... you know that more brains on the problem thing....
    Thanks

Nice looking wheels. You'll need a lot of Q-tips though...

they are supposed to come out with these new rims....lexon or some type of acryllic thats harder than steel and lighter than steel as well ...they say they are 5 lbs each!!!!! the tires weigh more than the rim!!! and the neat part is the rims are clear, meaning that you could throw lights in the rims!!!!
anyone else hear or read about this????

Nice find on the rims there Rev. Very nice lookin' and not priced through the roof either. I'm with RIO though, they are gonna take some TLC to keep 'em lookin' nice.

I really like your choice of rims. I think they would look perfect on Val with the other mods. I know your against it, but I would at least consider 20's.

I'm no expert, but after my AWD rim upgrade I've learned a few things.
    I know this site's worth a bookmark:
    http://1010tires.com/tech.asp
    The rim/tire calculators were priceless...

Those rims look sharp, but your rim is going to be 1/4" closer to the steering knuckle, which may or may not push that 225 tire (assuming you're still going to use those) a bit closer... I doubt it'll be an issue though.

What I would be more worried about is the brake caliper, especially with a big-lipped rim that's the same as stock diameter. The stock rim barely fits around the caliper of my AWD as it is, so I know for a fact that that rim design you're looking at wouldn't fit mine even if its dimensions were bone stock. I'm not sure about your RWD, but I'd be doubtful... The reason 22" wheels can always get away with big lips is their spokes dont curve in nearly as soon as 18's and 20's do. I couldn't even get a 20" Foose Nitrous around my brake caliper.

If you really want that wheel you should have a local shop order it so you don't have to worry about the return hassle if it doesn't fit.
Remember my AWD thread... if I had to return that stuff myself it would've been months before I'd be finished, and probably would've cost me more than the internet would've saved.

Am I seeing things or does that say "FWD" in the description?

Yeah find that style in a RWD setup. Wheels labeled FWD or RWD are describing the offset configuration and generally are not cross compatable.

Generally, wheels labeled FWD have offsets in the 35 to 45 range. The ones labled RWD use much less offset. Hammer said they are 20mm. They are only a 1/2 inch wider so with the 4mm less offset, the inside clearnace shoud be about the same. As for the spokes and the calipers, good question.

    Reverend,
These wheels will fit perfectly fine even with stock or even wider tires. I think they're great looking wheels too!
