For those that live in areas with deep ass pot holes, what shocks, springs, suspension can you recommend to fight these damn things. I live in Michian and can't stand them ????

The only way to fight potholes is to drive around them.
One thing that I have learned during a rally racing school if you can NOT avoid a pothole, or slow down, is to do a quick steer/counter steer toward the pothole...like you're trying to hit the hole. This will unsettle the suspension and take SOME weight off of that side. If done properly so can almost skip over it sometimes.
If you CAN slow down, apply the brakes. This will compress the suspension. And just before you reach the hole release the brakes. This will decompress the suspension and lighten the load when you pass over it.

The only real solution to the pot hole problem can be found here.
The other option would be to upgrade to a complete Pedders suspension that uses upgraded urethane bushings, and increased dampening rate shocks, but avoidance is still the best defense.
The biggest thing to do is keep the stock 18" wheels on. I run 40 psi in 255/55/18 General Grabber UHP's. I've got SRT8 suspension and the original RT suspension was better at absorbing the shock and not loosening your fillings. BTW our roads in Maine are some of the worst from Jan-May. Frost tears them up. Do not lower your car or put on aftermarket 20 or 22" rims. What's black and orange and sleeps 6? A Maine DOT truck!![]()

Here in Wisconsin it's like driving on the moon!
I say avoid them as much as possible.. That is the only real defense

the bigger the tire the better, with potholes.
Your suspension wont absorb near the sharp impact as a tire will. The rims that ding are the ones with low profile/no protection.
I dinged an enkie rim in lubbock in the early 90s. I called to report the dammage ant ehy said they are not liable until the pothole is reported. I literally called back, reported it, then called back again with my claim. They finally bought a new rim but they took great delight in making me drive my show truck down a muddy road to get the check.
lol
I'm still shootin, man!
Move to Georgia.
Some of the best roads overall of any state I've lived in..
I used to dodge the potholes all over the Greater Syracuse area, I81 was a laughingstock of a road, more like craters on the moon most of the year..

Ask any long haul truck driver who has the worst roads and I bet 90% say Pennsylvania.... I think Pheonix has the best. They run street sweepers at night![]()
