Plastering the wheel size all over the car with stickers.

I don't get it, maybe someone can explain it to me. Why put stickers and badges all over the car with your wheel size?

I say a Chevy Tahoe the other day and it had badges on the front fenders, stickers and the rear side windows and a sticker on the rear window saying "26".

Now I've seen this many times before, but I don't know, I simply can't comprehend it. I mean it's pretty obvious when someone is not rolling the stock size wheels just by looking at it, why put stickers and badges on it telling everyone too?

It used to be a status symbol, since the bigger the rim the more it usually costs. Like how everyone was trying to out C.I. each other in the good ole' days, but at least more cubes gave you performance unlike a ridiculous 28" rim that will give me worse mileage than an H1 Hummer. Thankfully one good thing that came out of this stagnant economy is that people are finally realizing how stupid and ignoarant people with this mindset look riding around with shoes 10 sizes too big, reminds you of a circus clown.

....I highly doubt the economy will have an adverse effect on some dude rollin` on 28s or 30s

It`s def. a status thing to have the wheel size posted on your ride....it`s tricky to tell if it has 24s or 26s ...like most anyone even cares

Maybe it's a special car club code...
Maybe they just don't like rubber...
or, maybe they just can't remember what size wheel they bought...

It's like wearing a necklace with an emblem that says 9" on it... it's a joke, and it's usually not even true ;-)

    ^^^^^

That's a funny one about the sunroof

I actually saw a car that had used window tint on the paint to simulate a sun roof. To add to the effect they used stick on wheel opening molding to outline it.

In D.C. lots of the 'Bros' put the wheel size on. I can almost always guess a Hispanic ride by the flame stickers, fake hood scoop and stick on fender vents.

Maybe they're tired of telling people what size their gigantic oversize ugly wheels are...

If you can solve your problem, then what is the need of worrying? If you cannot solve it, then what is the use of worrying?
