PIX of M&H 325 X 17" DRs on Centerline wheels

Here are some shots Jonesey took of my new drag radials.

These are 325/45R17 M&H Racemaster Drag Radial on Centerline billit series "Hammer" custom wheels.

    I had them made 17" X 9 1/2", 5 x 115mm bolt pattern W/6" backspace.

W/the 6" backspace the inner edge or the rim will just kiss the stabilizer bar when the car is jacked up by the frame. When the car is lowered, the stabilazer bar rotates forward out of the way. Jacking under the lower control arm or "pumpkin" will also eliminate the possibility of any contact.

They come close, but the tread does not extend past the lip @ the top of the wheel well opening.

Here's the view I hope to give some of the local mustang GTs

This a shot that shows the wheels off. I was going for the old school look. Wouldn't some 17" X 7" Cragar SSs W/low profile "skinnies" go good on the front?

Thanks Jonesey for snapping these pix & taking the time to e-mail them to me!

The wheels were $800 a pair shipped & the M&Hs were about $425ish shipped. The whole shooting match ran a bit over $1200 for the pair.

I did a lot of research & pricing. Custom made to order wheels go for a low of about $375 ea + shipping to twice that amount. I'm sure there are some that are even more expensive. I chose these because they were @ the bottom of the price range, they were available in a size that suited my purposes & they were almost exactly what I was looking for in appearance.

After a lot of calculation & measuring I determined that a 6" backspace was about the maximum that would clear the sway bar. Comparing the width of the larger 325 to that of the 275 that I ran on the Cragar 9" wide steel wheels last year, (they were centerd having a 5" backspace) I determined that the 6" backspace on the maximum width Centerline wheel (9 1/2") would shift the center inward 3/4" thus positioning the 2" wider tire W/about the same relationship as far as the outer edge/fender opening lip.

Here is a link for the "Billet" series wheels from Centerline.

Here is a link to the M&H 325/45R 17 Drag radial. If you buy direct, tell them I sent you. My name is Dan Fennell. If you play your cards right you will get a "dealer" discount. If you get a good price direct from M&H, do not try to price match W/jegs or any other retailer or you will get us shot down for the dealer pricing.

These are hard to come by, they sell as fast as he gets them in. You may have to wait. If you are impatiant, Jegs stocks them for $219 ea.(if they have any in stock)

Oops Wrong link above. Just click on "Home" when you get to M&Hs site then go to "drag Radials" then 325/45R17.

I will edit the link when I get home.
