    Parada Spec-X for winter?

Is the Parada Spec-X a good enough tire for winter driving? I'm thinking of upgrading my wheels and tires and wonder if I can get by on those, or if I should spend around $100 more per tire for dedicated winter tires.

depending on how much snow you see, spend the extra money.why risk life and limb (not to mention your ride) on tires that dont grip in the winter?

i have a dedicated set of snows, and mounted them on police wheels.functional, yet still bada$$

There are no substitutions for a good winter tire. Get a spare set of used rims and some Blizzaks and be done with it. Summer tires with cold weather and bad conditions is like driving on steel drums. Even throw some extra weight in the back if it's bad out.

The cheapest winter tires will be better than the best all season tires.

Its definately worth having two sets of tires. I run Winterforce in the winter and they are amazing.

I've tried all seasons... and up here in Ontario they don't work.

I picked up my winters for 650-700 installed and they are worth every penny... I didn't get stuck once last year and I was able to plow through snow and ice very easily. Even stop/starting on a hill where everyone else was moving backwards (FWD cars included).

Winters will be going on Nov 1.
