    Numbers on Eibach Prokit??

What is the Eibach spring number on the rear of Pro Kit spring. I installed a Pro-Kit back in november and blamed the non lowering in the rear on the Novis (which is one reason). Tonight i installed an 08 SRT shock and the thing may have gone down a 1/4 of an inch. So i got to lookin at the springs. I pulled one out and put it next to a stock spring. It was longer and had like twice as many coils that were very close together!

I put a Stock Spring on the driver side and the Eibach Spring on the pass side. No difference. WTF?

Numbers on the Eibach rear springs.

    165327-2
    2873-002

    Any thoughts?

i would be alright with a rake if it dropped the rear at least half an inch... It's sitting at stock height?

Did you cut the bump stops? I was told by multiple people you need to cut about an inch of the rear bump stops for the car to lower properly

Well you need to let the suspension settle, cut the bump stops and tighten all bolts in ther rear once the car's weight is on the ground.

Can anyone verify if that's the correct spring though?

My research shows the spring should have 2873.140 on it. These seem to be stamped 2873.002???

SRT-8 springs are also Nivomat. Thats why with a stock and lowered spring you sit at same height. Its all in the Nivomat shocks.

You need either stock not Nivomat or some aftermarket dampers.

Hey Justin, where did you get the springs, those coils do look very tight. I couldn't be happier with the stance on my R/T with the pro set.Got almost a 2" drop on the back. I will not be back in town untill this weekend but I can check the numbers then if you still dont have an answer.

WoW! I would call Eibach tomorrow and verify the spring number and if you have the right spring I would let them settle a little bit and if that doesn't get them to where you want them to be then either go with coilovers (even though we saw how they can sit) or try to trim the bumpstop bushing in the rear but that is going to make a very minimal difference and could cause other issues with the suspension.

Last resort you could go with a different set of springs?!?

OOPS, i meant that the SRT-8's also use a Nivomat shock/damper so if that is what you have combined with the Eibach's you probably wont get much lowering.

Not all SRT's have the self leveling rear shocks. I don't believe any of the 08 Charger SRT's have them and that is what shocks he is running in the rear.

man i would be tickled to damn death if i got near two inches out of the rear! Keep me in mind and check the numbers if you can. I will be tracking down the answer but double check for me please!

Yea, The bumpstops are not the problem at the moment. I'm going to change out the stock spring to the eibach and keep the non novis in and go for a ride and let things settle. That was a great piece of info shawn posted on the Z about the sway bar could be holding it up with a stock spring in one side. Which was true on jays car if you remember. We put one side on in the rear and didn't get much drop, then put the other side in and it slammed the **** out! I'll try tomorrow and see!

True, the novis did a damn good job of keeping the ass up when i installed the rear lowering springs. The other night though i was changing out the novi's for non self leveling shocks which is when all this came up!
