No more Quaife ATB Limited Slip Diff ...WTB!

Not completely sure if it is true but I had some inquires out trying to get a hold of a Quaife for an SRT8. Seems there has been a mad rush lately as there are completely out ? Well anyway the company calls me back and indicates that Quaife will no longer make this particular part # that fits the SRT8. There is another DIFF that is coming out in the end of July from Autotec called Wavetrac. They sent me a link to the site which shows this up coming product.

that doesn't make a lot of sense. maybe the two companies that makes our half-shafts will discontinue them as well.. that would suck!

A quick check around the internet shows that for the GTI's they are going for $895.00. Hopefully it will not be double that for the LX's but you never know.

Seems that AutoTech was the North American Distributor for Quaife. So I made a inquiry directly to them and it is true they will no longer be importing them and that the Wavetrac will be out towards the end of July and will be priced along with what the Quaife was.

What the Blank and WTF talk about being stuck up the rears when you are at the mercy of so few.

Wonder what the heck was the huge rush... as I had checked over 2 months ago and I was told there were PLENTY.

that sux JAmes... I hope u get ur's soon.... even though when ur just at the strip it really doesnt give u anymore advantage over the stock unit... Now if u are doing road courses then it's a different story.

Well I keep hearing that with the Quaife those one wheel burnouts are history. With the launch it was suppose to help put the power to both wheels vice having one wheel catching and the other is spinning.

That hook-slide-hook-slide thing jigging back and forth ate Quaifes alive. They probably aren't doing any more because they had to replace so many under warranty.
