    new R/T struts/shocks or SRT8?

My shocks/struts are getting pretty soft, at every bump i feel i'm in a boat. So with my budget in mind i got 2 choices:

    1. new stock R/T pieces

    2. get used (low miles) SRT8 suspension

Now, one thing to consider is i have Mopar springs so will stock struts live longer. I previously had Eibach pro springs which probably killed some life to those struts. How much can replacement SRT8 struts/shocks cost against R/T's?

    Thanks for input

I recently installed the SRT 8 suspension (500 miles on it when purchased) on by RT. It is a significantly better suspension. A bit more stiff ride on washboard roads, but well worth the upgrade IMO. Passed the wife test after we went out on the highway. Also the car is about 1 1/4" lower all the way around. It not only rides great it looks great! Go for the SRT 8 suspension and don't look back.

How much does the SRT suspension cost on average if you had to venture a guess?

    Is it plug-and-play replacement?

For what it's worth, I just posted a set of SRT-8 takeoff suspension for sale this afternoon. It's in the For Sale forum here. $400 plus shipping.

SRT8 takeoffs WITHOUT A DOUBT. I would never pay over $400 though. Depending on the mileage on them, even 400 may be a bit steep. I got a good deal with only about 3k miles on them off a new car.

The ride is ridiculously improved. I can take corners that I never could before. I suggest NOT going to the dealer to install and looking around for local shops. I did mine myself but after all that work and scars on my hands, I wouldn't do it again. If you're in the upstate NY area I suggest talking to Hemi31. No one knows these cars better.

    Good luck!

JMatt you got a deal there, it's just i can't buy right now. There still some life span on my stockers and i also need tires so got to make choices.

What components of the SRT8 suspension are different? How involved is it? Front/rear or just front?

    Did you consider this option?
For that price you could go with Eibachs' pro dampers. Tirerack.com has the Eibach pro dampers for $402.00. (and they're brand new) They'd hook up nice with the mopar springs. Better yet , if you still got your Eibach pro springs, use those with pro dampers and your good for life. Not to mention sweet stance and awsome ride. JMO

The SRT 8 front units are Bilstein and the rears are NIVOMAT by Sachs. There is a reason people are upgrading their SRT 8 suspensions and making these parts available. They may work for you or they may not. To be able to answer your question could you answer a few questions?

    1. How many miles are on your car?
    2. Do you track you car, road course, autocross or drag?
    3. How many miles do you drive to work every day?
